Steve McGivern, President of the American Autism Alliance worked side by side with the Orlando leadership and senior volunteers of the 2007 Autism Speaks- Walk Now For Autism from pre-eventplanning sessions to the fun-filled 2008 Awards Reception at the Orlando Science Center. 4.19.2008.

The Orlando Awards Reception honored more than 300 teams & 2,250 walkers that raised over $257,000 for Autism Speaks in the fight against Autism. Amazingly, per the U.S. Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, 1 in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism, making it far more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined.
